FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of two immiscible fluids and can be used in oil-and-gas industry, petrochemical industry, chemical and food industries. Proposed method comprises separation of two immiscible fluids by mix filtration in hydrophilic filter. Fabrics, nonwoven materials and nets (cotton, linen, paper, kapron, nylon) are used as said filter. Said material is processed (wetted) by aqueous solution of micro gels of polysaccharides (pectin, chitosan, carboxymethyl cellulose). Concentration of micro gels in the solution makes 0.05-3.00 wt %. Mix is fed onto filtration material in a continuous flow so that fluid layer above filter surface in the range of 10-20 cm of dried material. Micro gel left after separation of oil phase from water can be recovered by extraction of acid or alkali diluted solutions.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation, simplified design.
