FIELD: artillery charges made of tubular powders.
SUBSTANCE: the charge has a weight of tubular powder components formed with a maximum capacity at least of 0.25 of the powder density. The weight diameter makes up not more than 41 of the powder component outside diameter. The weight is placed in a cloth sack. The charge may be provided with an additional weight placed in one or several cloth sacks. The tubular powder component of the artillery gun charge is made with a relationship between the duct diameter and the burning crown thickness within 1.1 to 4.2, and the length-to-outside diameter ratio not exceeding 125.
EFFECT: provided safe rate of growth of pressure of powder gases, required stability of burning and low spread of shell muzzle velocities, which makes it possible to enhance the close grouping of shots and accuracy of fire.
