FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying optical coherent tomography. Linear horizontal scans on pupil edge of the iris are taken. Iris defects being available and in ciliary zone, scanning is carried out along defect boundary. Scans along iris circumference are also applied. Iris layer thickness is examined with nature of layer transformations and pathologic iris injury depth being taken into account. Iris stroma thickness being from 280 to 460 μ and pigmented epithelium thickness from 65 to 75 μ, normal case is to be recorded. Changes in iris thickness, density and transparence being found, iris lesion is considered to be the case.
EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
