FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for differential diagnosis of iris melanoma and progressive iris nevus. Angioarchitectonics of the iris in the tumor area is assessed using optical coherence tomography with an angiographic mode. In the presence of multiple hyperreflective, intertwining, tortuous vessels of the tumor and in the absence of a radial course of the vessels in the projection of the tumor localization, iris melanoma is diagnosed. In the presence of single hyperreflective vessels of the tumor and its own capillary network of the iris, a diagnosis of a progressive nevus of the iris is established.
EFFECT: invention provides a more accurate differential diagnosis of iris melanoma and progressive iris nevi by identifying the features of iris angioarchitectonics in the area of iris melanoma and iris nevus using optical coherence tomography with an angiographic mode.
