SUBSTANCE: method involves administering vertical underwater traction with proper weight and gradually growing load from 8 to 12 kg and then falling to the initial value. The treatment is continued 2-3 h later with thin-layer sulfide silt therapeutic muds at a temperature of 35-38°C and 15 to 25 min long exposure time. Balneological treatment with hydrogen sulfide baths or Legrand crystal baths, massage and medical exercise therapy is applied next day.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced pain syndrome; restored movements; no exacerbations.
