FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical rehabilitation and can be used for treatment of arthroses of lower limbs in sanatorium-and-spa and therapeutic institutions. Treatment method of arthroses of lower limbs involves massage, physical therapy in the swimming-pool, vertical underwater extension (VUE) of lower limb joints, magnetotherapy, thermotherapy, balneotherapy and massage. At that, vertical underwater extension is performed by symmetric hanging of the load on both legs, 5-10 cm above the knee at hip joint arthrosis, or by symmetric hanging on both legs, which is 5-10 cm higher than ankle joint at knee joint arthrosis, or by symmetric hanging on both feet at ankle joint arthrosis, and provide during the treatment course the gradual increase of the load value on each leg from 2 kg to 3-5 kg by retaining maximum load within several days, and then, its gradual decrease up to 2 kg, and after 1-1.5 hour after each procedure of vertical underwater extension there carried out is magnetotherapy, then thermotherapy with paraffin-ozokerite applications on the joints every other day, alternating them with balneotherapy with hydrosulfuric or bischofite baths, and treatment is performed by means of 1-4 courses with an interval of 6-8 months between them.

EFFECT: method improves treatment efficiency of arthroses owing to total effect providing rehabilitation of cartilage diffusion, capillary and pre-capillary blood supply, cell metabolism, and neurovascular system regulation.
