FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, particularly for extinguishing fires with the use fire-extinguishing mixtures (gas-and-aerosol, gas-and-powder, gas-and-dust, gas-and-liquid mixtures) in opened and closed reservoirs with inflammable liquids.
SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying fire-extinguishing gas-dispersed mixture to fire seat, wherein gas-dispersed mixture is formed by feeding gaseous and/or liquefied gas retarder and/or gaseous and/or liquefied homogenous inhibitor and/or hydrocarbon-repellent surfactant under pressure of not less than 2 MPa into vessel containing powder or liquid heterogeneous fire inhibitor and having valve; discharging gas-dispersed mixture from vessel on reaching inner vessel pressure of not less than 0.42 kPa through perforated sprayer or through several sprayers which provide 180o spray of gas-dispersed mixture with flow rate of not less than 1 kg/s in direction parallel to burning liquid surface and feeding thereof to space above burning liquid surface, wherein gas-dispersed mixture is discharged with flow rate enough to obtain gas-dispersed mixture concentration of not less than 0.09 kg/m3 in flame volume center above burning liquid surface. Ratio between gas and dispersed phases of fire-extinguishing mixture is from 0.2:1 to 15:1. Gaseous component of gas-dispersed mixture is inert gas (CO2, N2, A2 or their mixture) and/or ozone-friendly hydrogen halide. Heterogeneous fire inhibitor is powder fire extinguishing composition based on carbonates and/or chlorides and/or phosphates of alkali and/or alkaline-earth metal and/or ammonium or fog-forming solution of orthophosphoric acid or heat-sensitive fire-extinguishing powder composition. Gas-dispersed mixture is fed simultaneously by gas-dispersed mixture generators floating on inflammable liquid surface arranged along reservoir perimeter and in center thereof. The resultant vector of horizontal spray formed by peripheral generators is directed to reservoir center. The resultant vector of horizontal spray formed by central generators is directed to reservoir periphery. To prevent inflammable liquid ignition heat-sensitive powder fire-extinguishing composition with density of less than liquid density or heat-sensitive powder fire-extinguishing composition lyophobic to liquid is applied to liquid surface. Amount of heat-sensitive powder fire-extinguishing composition provides continuous coating on liquid surface.
EFFECT: increased fire-extinguishing safety, reduced fire-extinguishing mixture consumption.
