FIELD: sorbents.

SUBSTANCE: solid adsorbents, for instance graphite packing serving for decomposition of sodium amalgam in chlorine and caustic soda production, are regenerated by heating adsorbent in electromagnetic field within ultrahigh frequency region. Addition to adsorbent layer (diameter of caustic soda pellets 10-15 mm) of finer particles of a solid substance (up to 5 mm in size) efficiently transforming energy of ultrahigh frequency field into heat energy, e.g. particles of the same sorbents, leads to increased loose density of adsorbent layer and increased degree of transformation of electromagnetic energy into heat.

EFFECT: increased adsorbent activity.
