FIELD: household chemical goods.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of bleaching and disinfecting agents, in particular dibasic calcium hypochlorite salt, which is obtained by chlorination of lime milk with gaseous chlorine followed by filtration of suspension containing 300-360 g/dm3 calcium hydroxide is controlled by measuring redox potential of platinum working electrode against silver chloride electrode and process is stopped at 720±5 mv. Invention results in improved quality of dibasic salt product, simplified technology, reduced consumption of chlorine, automation of process control, improved filtration capability of aqueous suspension owing to termination of chlorination when up to ±5% of coarse hexagonal crystals of dibasic calcium hypochlorite are formed.
