FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: self-locked nut has central threaded opening, insert made of a washer for locking the nut on the bolt or stud, and cylindrical seat for receiving the insert. The nut is also provided with the conical hollow above the seat for receiving the insert. The insert is made of the radially-flexible turn of the flat spiral whose ends are not aligned. The periphery of the washer corresponds to the hollow made in the nut.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of locking.
