FIELD: thermal engineering; water heating and steam generation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed steam generator designed for effective water heating and steam generation dispensing with commonly used coolants and electric power consumption has case with longitudinal through slits tangential relative to inner surface whose cross-sectional area (inlet-outlet) is aligned with water flow, as well as cylinder provided with helical passages for water flow on its inner side. Water is heated to 95 oC and higher temperature to produce steam as it flows through helical passages at inlet pressure of 2 to 6 at.
EFFECT: simplified design and enhanced efficiency of steam generator.
