FIELD: thermal engineering; water heating and steam generation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed heat generator designed for effective water heating and steam generation without commonly used coolants and electrical energy consumption has external cone whose inner side is provided with helical water passages and internal cone with longitudinal through slits disposed tangentially to inner surface of mentioned slits which are positioned in cross-sectional area (inlet-outlet) in direction of water flow. Water is heated to outlet temperature of 95 oC and higher as it flows through helical passages at inlet pressure of 2 to 6 at. to produce steam.
EFFECT: simplified design and enhanced efficiency of steam generator.
