FIELD: electrical engineering; heating appliances for various liquids such as oil or fuel to facilitate starting of internal-combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed tubular electric heater of improved design whose guaranteed service life is minimum two years has its heating element made in the form of spiral affording different regions of specific power; one end of spiral is secured on current lead and other one, on opposite end of tube to its housing, thereby ensuring uniform power dissipation, eliminating spark probability between tubular electric heater and ground which ensures safety when handling chemically active media; such provision enables differential heating of separate components of units depending on their application and location and enhances fire safety.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities, enhanced safety, reliability, and service life.
