FIELD: rolling processes and equipment, namely preparation of rolling rolls of four-high stands of cold rolling mills to operation.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of grinding barrel of rolling roll of sheet rolling stand and then texturing it by means of electric current pulses passing through dielectric liquid between rotated roll and electrodes performing reciprocation motion along roll barrel; setting intensity of electric current pulses in range 8 - 10 A at pulse duration for turning-on in range 28 - 72 microseconds; rotating roll at number of revolution 15 -21 rev/min and sustaining speed of reciprocation motion of electrodes in range 70 -90 mm/min. Invention provides formation of wear-resistant relief on roll barrel.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of rolling roll, improved quality of strip surface, reduced degree of welding coil turns at annealing.
