FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely processes for making powder materials with strengthening particles, possibly in machine engineering, automobile making and other industry branches.
SUBSTANCE: method of electric-contact sintering of powders with strengthening particles comprises steps of mixing powders with particle size no more than 80 micrometers; using strengthening particles whose size consist 1/4 -1/2 of metallic particle size; preliminarily compacting mixture; then simultaneously performing single-stage sintering by means of electric current with density 5.5 - 51.0 A/mm2 and pressing under pressure 5 - 10 MPa.
EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance and strength of powder materials.
