FIELD: explosives.
SUBSTANCE: spherical hunting-rifle powder is manufactured as follows. Powder lacquer is prepared by mixing, in aqueous medium, cellulose nitrate, diphenylamine with acetate, dibutyl phthalate, nitroglycerine, and dinitrotoluene. Dispersion medium is prepared with carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt or hydroxyethylcellulose as emulsifier. Powder lacquer is dispersed in dispersion medium into spherical powder particles, which are then dehydrated, freed of ethyl acetate, and powdered with graphite.
EFFECT: reduced polydispersity and increased density of powder thereby increasing its efficiency.
