FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing alkaline alkyl-(C2-C12)-xanthogenates that are used broadly in flotation of sulfide ores in mining industry. Alkaline alkyl xanthogenates are prepared interaction of carbon disulfide, alcohol and alkali in an organic solvent medium at temperature 15-45oC followed by isolation of the end product. Mixture of (C2-C12)-alcohols with the content of (C2-C5)-alcohols 55-90 wt.-% is used as alcohol, and benzene or toluene is used as an organic solvent. The proposed method for preparing alkaline alkyl-(C2-C12)-xanthogenates shows technological effectiveness and provides enhancing flotation properties of reagent.
EFFECT: improved preparing method, valuable technical properties of reagent.
