FIELD: measuring equipment, particularly investigation of fragile building materials destruction with crack formation.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming sample of building material on the basis of mortar mix in annular mold, setting it during predetermined time period to create hollow cylinder; setting hollow cylinder under predetermined temperature and moisture conditions; creating pressure uniformly distributed along inner sample wall by means of pump and rubber chamber arranged inside hollow sample; continuously recording pressure up to formation of the first visible crack; estimating crack resistance of investigated sample on the basis of sample geometry and above pressure value. Uniform pressure may vary from 0 to 5 atm. Pressure may be created with the use of rubber chamber with pump. Pressure value may be recorded by means of pressure-gauge.
EFFECT: possibility to approximate test conditions to real working conditions, namely increased accuracy of material investigation due to direct usage of experimental data for crack resistance determination.
