SUBSTANCE: the present mucoadhesive composition is designed in the form of a gel containing metronidasol benzoate, chlorohexidine gluconate, local anesthetic, a gel-forming agent, aqueous medium, a chelate-forming agent, a sweetener, mucoadhesive polymer, flavoring agent and pH-modifier. These components should be taken a certain quantitative ratio. The method for obtaining the composition deals with dissolving chalate-forming agent, a sweetener and chlorohexidine gluconate in water at obtaining solution 1, dissolving at mixing a flavoring additive and local anesthetic in glycol and adding metronidasol benzoate at obtaining solution 2, adding a gel-forming agent to solution 2 and adding solution 1 to the obtained gel and mixing to obtain homogeneous gel. The composition suggested is of high adhesion by releasing medicinal preparation at necessary section for prolonged period of time.
