FIELD: petroleum chemical synthesis, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing calcium, zinc, barium and cadmium stearates used as thermostabilizing agents in processing polyvinyl chloride and in manufacturing varnishes, surface-active composites used as flotation agents. Method is carried out by interaction of stearic acid and calcium, zinc, barium and cadmium oxides or hydroxides at intensive stirring in solid phase in the quasi-liquid layer at temperature 25-30oC and revolution numbers of stirring device 1000-2000 rev/min up to attainment of acid number of product 2 mg KOH/g, not above. Invention provides carrying out the process for a single stage, simple technology of process, using low temperatures and possibility for preparing the ready product as a finely divided powder.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
