FIELD: chemistry; technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of calcium-zinc stearate and can be used for production of rigid and plasticized polyvinyl chloride compositions: profiles, pipes, wallpaper, hoses, containers, artificial leather, linoleum, when casting under pressure, opaque and semitransparent insulation of wires in chemical industry. Disclosed is a method of producing calcium-zinc stearate by reacting stearic acid, calcium hydroxide and zinc oxide with intense stirring in a solid phase, characterized in that calcium hydroxide and zinc oxide are taken at a weight ratio of 3:1, reaction mixture is exposed to multiple impact loads by rotating multi-tier blades of jet mill in pseudo-liquefied layer at temperature below melting point of stearic acid, then, the reaction mixture is fed into an oscillating extrusion mixer in which deformation stirring is carried out at temperature of the reaction mass higher than melting point of stearic acid, but lower than the melting point of calcium-zinc stearate.

EFFECT: disclosed is a novel efficient continuous method which simplifies the process of producing calcium-zinc stearate with stable quality indices.
