FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes setting the rings on the shaft, applying lubricant on the members of the structure, mounting the shaft with sealing rings into the mandrel provided with cylindrical hole whose sizes correspond to these of the hole in the housing, cooling the shaft together with the mandrel and housing down to a temperature which is higher than the lubricant freezing temperature, but lower than the temperature of recovering of flexibility of material of the sealing rings, removing the shaft with sealing rings from the mandrel, setting it into the housing, and removing liquid from the housing. After the removing of the shaft with sealing rings, the outer cylindrical side of the shaft and sealing ring is additionally provided with lubricant.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of sealing.
