FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for assembly of hydraulic and pneumatic units with sealing rings of radial compression. Method includes mounting of sealing rings on shaft, application of lubricant to elements of construction, cooling down of shaft and body to temperature exceeding lubricant freezing temperature, installation of shaft into body, and removal of liquid from body. Prior to cooling down, shaft with sealing rings is installed in processing holder provided with cylindrical hole. Hose sizes correspond to sizes of hole in body. Shaft is cooled down along with holder to temperature below value at which flexible properties of sealing ring material are recovered. Prior to installation of shaft into body, processing holder is removed. Removal of vessel with neutral liquid and processing plugs with seals enhances technological efficiency of the method. Reduced time of cooling down and drying enables reduction of labor intensity. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
