SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises fitting seal rings on shaft, lubing structure elements, fitting shaft with seal rings in mandrel with central bore sized to housing bores, freezing housing and shaft to temperature higher than lubricant freezing point but lower than that of seal ring material resilience recovery, extracting shaft with seal rings from mandrel, applying extra amount of lubricant of shaft outer surface and that of seal ring, fitting the shaft with seal rings in housing and water removal therefrom. Mandrel outer cylindrical surface is heated to cause clearance prior to extracting shaft with seal rings therefrom. Invention covers also mandrel design.
EFFECT: better tightness, higher reliability of sealing.
