FIELD: measuring engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises determining radii of points of the article shape, performing harmonic analysis of the totality of the radii obtained, determining eccentricity of the centers of the mean circumference of the article and axis of rotation of out-of-round gauge. The deviation of the first harmonic from the mean circumference of the article is then determined and correction is calculated as a sum of the first harmonic and the deviation. The correction is calculated from the equations proposed.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measuring.
