FIELD: physics, measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used to control diameters, shape distortions and position deviation of the round-section surfaces. The proposed method uses test prod moving on over the surface to be measured, accumulates measured points in the data base in the form of radius-vectors of a detail and angles of turn for a complete revolution through equal intervals, defines using the said data base the said distortions and/or deviations from rated values and recalculating the angles and radius-vectors of control points relative to the point accepted for the geometrical center of a detail. In compliance with the proposed invention, simultaneously measured are, at least, two sections of a detail, one of them being taken to be a reference surface section, while the other is the section of a measured surface. Note here that the center of circumscribed circle or inscribed circle for every surface is considered to be geometrical center. Besides, the coordinates of the centers of the circumscribed and inscribed circles of each section are determined relative to the axis of turn, and centre-to-centre distance of these is assumed to make alignment tolerance. The difference between radii of the circumscribed/inscribed circles and radius-vector of the measured points relative to the center of the circumscribed/ inscribed circles, the maximal difference being assumed to make roundness tolerance.
EFFECT: increase in accuracy of measurements, lessened requirements to accuracy of manufacturing test appliance, and defining error in arrangement of measured section relative to reference surface.
