FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: piston is installed on the table without accurate alignment relative to spindle rotation axis. As per signal of optic sensor the table is installed in compliance with the specified position of the hole for piston pin, angular coordinates of points of cross section profile are determined considering the offset of measurement axis of monitoring sensor relative to spindle rotation axis, and profile of longitudinal section considering piston axis position. Device for realising the method includes table with reference rotation drive, plain gauge equipped with monitoring sensor, having the possibility of controlling the cross section profile of rotation bodies as per radius, and longitudinal section profile - along diametre, and position of axis of piston pin hole by means of optic sensor. Computer controlling the table drive and gauge movement drive is connected with its data inputs to output of monitoring sensor and to output of optic sensor.
EFFECT: increasing control accuracy of rotation bodies surfaces, including pistons with asymmetrical section profile, at high capacity, providing less stringent requirements for alignment of the device, and simplifying its design.
