FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: bench comprises a wheel mounted on the shaft provided with bearings to be tested. The wheel engages the wheel rim which simulates a railway. The bearing to be tested undergoes impact loading when it passes through the but hollows on the wheel rim. The shaft is simultaneously affected by the impact loading from a gearing which simulates the operation of thrust reduction gear of a diesel locomotive.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of testing.
