SUBSTANCE: method comprises choosing study and reference objects on the basis of known values of detergency, obtaining solutions of synthetic detergents by the method of double dissolving, determining the values of surface tension (σ), plotting isotherms of surface tension σ = f(c), where c is the concentration of the synthetic detergent, determining minimum values of surface tension at the points of inflection of the isotherms on the ordinate axis and critical values of micelle formation on the abscissa, and determining detergency on the basis of increasing or decreasing the surface tension and critical concentration of micelle formation of the study and reference object.

EFFECT: simplified method and enhanced reliability of measurements.
