SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of washing a substrate. Described method includes following steps: providing a detergent composition that includes a surfactant and an antifoaming agent, antifoaming comprises a hydrophobic fluid having a surface tension of at least 27 mN/m and less than 40 mN/m and a finely divided solid hydrophobic filler dispersed in the hydrophobic fluid; washing substrate in an aqueous medium with detergent composition, where antifoaming agent does not affect foaming during washing step and detergent composition is applied on substrate at washing step; rinsing substrate with applied detergent composition with water, whereby foaming during rinsing step is inhibited.

EFFECT: technical result is inhibition of foam when rinsing without reducing foaming during washing.
