FIELD: optical bubble switches.
SUBSTANCE: proposed optical bubble switch has heater, substrate, and liquid being heated with bubbles set up in its space. Used as heater is semiconductor light-emitting diode or laser whose radiation is concentrated by lens into liquid space, passed to liquid through transparent window, and absorbed by liquid and substrate; the latter has internal air microcavity communicating with liquid space.
EFFECT: reduced change-over time, enhanced reliability and economic efficiency of switch.
