FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: feed grinder has shear device arranged at outlet end of feeder and grinding apparatus. Feeder has feeding conveyor and pressure conveyor. Shear device has two shear plates arranged one above another. Upper shear plate is pivotally connected with pressure conveyor for movement in vertical plane. Rear support of pressure conveyor is spring-loaded. Grinding apparatus has flat knife provided with double-sided sharpening and fixed on plank for reciprocation in vertical plane. Feed adapted for grinding is clamped between feeding and pressure conveyors and transported toward shear plates. Feed is cut upon up and down displacement of knife. Owing to displacement of pressure conveyor and upper shear plate feed grinder operates for grinding of feed, when feed layer thickness on feeding conveyor is changed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and wider operational capabilities.
