METHOD OF HIGH-VOLTAGE TRAINING OF SEALED OFF ELECTROVACUUM DEVICE WITH METAL-POROUS CATHODES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01R31/25 H01J9/38

Abstract RU 2656147 C1

FIELD: electronic equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electronic engineering, namely, to the technology of high-voltage training of electrovacuum devices (EVD). Method of high-voltage training of a sealed-off electrovacuum device with metal-porous cathodes and an internal milking machine includes high-voltage training of electrodes at a constant voltage. Internal milking machine is made in the form of a magnetic electric discharge pump, which includes first a high-voltage training and supplies a voltage between the grid and the cathode of the device. After high-voltage training, leakage current is measured. If the leakage current is greater than the standard value for this device, then the pump is switched off and the voltage is applied between the grid and the anode, as a result of which the gas pressure in the device increases. Turn on the pump, measure the pressure and, if the pressure is above 1.6⋅10-3 Pa, reduce this gas pressure so that the gas pressure is in the range of 2.1⋅10-4 up to 1.6⋅10-3 Pa. Then the pump is switched off and high-voltage training is continued between the grid and the cathode. When the leakage current of the standard rate is reached, the pump is turned on and the device is pumped out.

EFFECT: technical result is the reduction of the leakage current between the electrodes of the EVD with the increase of the gas pressure during the high-voltage training, which allows to increase the electrical strength of the devices.
