FIELD: manufacture of castings, mainly of non-ferrous metals and alloys.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes casting mold, squeezing chamber, intermediate plate with gate, mechanism for vertical motion of chamber or mold. Chamber has through cavity and stable lining, for example in the form of titanium sleeve or fired refractory material. Chamber is placed on refractory plate-base. The last may be porous for blowing melt by gases. Electric heater is used for heating plate-base. Intermediate plate is made of core sand.

EFFECT: simplified process for preparing squeezing chamber to pouring, lowered cost price of castings, enlarged assortment of cast products.
