FIELD: components for ballistite-type (double-base) solid fuel.
SUBSTANCE: lead dioxide on nitrocellulose fibers is obtained with yield of 88-98 % by lead acetate oxidation with sodium hypochlorite in aqueous nitrocellulose suspension at 20-800C and pH 4.4-6.0. Obtained product is useful in manufacturing of fuel ballistite-type compositions produced and treated by convenient methods.
EFFECT: fuel of improved burning quality; decreased lead content in waste water; and reduced yield scattering.
