FIELD: rocket fuels.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solid propellants and provides a method of coating octogen crystals with lead acetate. Suspension of octogen crystals in aqueous lead acetate solution id heated to 40-50°C and aqueous solution of polyacrylamide is added at stirring. The sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution is dispensed evenly for 20-60 min to suspension at 1:1 lead acetate-to-sodium hypochlorite molar ratio and resulting mixture is hold for 20-30 min.
EFFECT: eliminated fire danger during coating procedure without use of organic solvent.
