FIELD: chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for preparing components used for solid rocket fuels of ballistite type with improved combustion indices. Copper oxide dispersion on nitrocellulose fibers is prepared by hydrolysis reaction of copper acetate with addition to the process the additional stage - dosing sodium hydroxide solution to suspension of nitrocellulose in copper acetate aqueous solution in the optimal ratios of reagents and temperature-time regimens of industrial operations. Method provides the yield of copper oxide on nitrocellulose fibers in the level 86-98% and distinguishes by small content of copper salts in sewage waters. The prepared product is used for preparing fuel compositions of ballistite type that are prepared and processed by the known technology of ballistite fuels.
