FIELD: filtration technique.

SUBSTANCE: proposed pressure filter used for filtration of suspensions includes bed frame with bearing plates secured on it, movable hold-down plate and stack of vertical filtering plates mounted in between bearing and hold-down plates; each filtering chamber located between two filtering plates has at least one filter cloth passed between two horizontal guide bodies in S-shaped manner; guide bodies are mounted for vertical motion relative to respective filter cloth by means of two hoisting members of hoisting gear mounted on opposite longitudinal walls of pressure filter which may be coupled with carriers projecting from end sides of guide bodies when hoisting gear extends in way of longitudinal axis of pressure filter only on part of length of filter plate stack; it is movable in way of longitudinal axis of pressure filter. Hoisting members are located in hoisting gear for vertical motion only.

EFFECT: low cost of hoisting gear; possibility of giving access to separate filtering plates.
