FIELD: chemical engineering; filter presses for filtering industrial medium and hardly filtered suspensions; dehydration of sediments of sewage and other heterogeneous systems in chemical and allied industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed press filter at section-by-section discharge of sediment is provided with front and rear uprights, upper beam connecting these uprights with pressure plate suspended from it, filtering plate stack suspended from upper beam by means of brackets and interconnected together and connected with pressure plate and front upright by means of limiting strips, each intermediate plate is provided with at least one limiting roller connected to bracket for suspension at shaft from bracket in direction of longitudinal axis of filter press for engagement with thrust surface of upper beam profile or additional profiles secured on this beam. EFFECT: guaranteed discharge of sediment from each plate of filter press. 4 cl, 6 dwg
