FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine contains main cylinder with main piston, auxiliary cylinder with auxiliary piston placed in head of main cylinder, combustion chamber with spark plug formed by cylinders, pistons and head, exhaust unit found in head, exhaust unit found in head and controlled by camshaft, and device to control position of auxiliary piston. Main piston reciprocating in main cylinder sets crankshaft into operation. Auxiliary piston is set into rotation by crankshaft through camshaft, and it reciprocates in auxiliary cylinder and controls at least one fuel-air mixture intake port made on side surface of auxiliary cylinder. Auxiliary piston control device is made in form of rocking lever contacting through roller with cam on camshaft. One arm of rocking lever in connected with auxiliary piston through connecting rod, and other arm is connected with movable support. Roller in contact with cam is connected with head of main cylinder by means of spring and fork arranged coaxially on rod rigidly secured on head, and movable support is connected with control mechanism. Movable support can be made in form of nut hinge-connected with rocking lever, and control mechanism can be made in form of screw connected with head of main cylinder through rack and gear rigidly secured on screw. Nut is fitted on screw.
EFFECT: improved reliability and stability of control of fuel-air mixture intake and change of compression ration.
