FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. The two-stroke internal combustion engine contains a crank-shaft (10) with a driving sprocket, a gas distribution system designed in a cylinder head (8), fuel-air mix inlet system (12), combustion product exhaust system (13), at least one cylinder (1) with the piston installed in it and ignition system with the ignition plug (37) installed on each end face of the cylinder (1). The gas distribution system is designed as two cylindrical camshafts (14) and (15) with driven sprockets installed in them - the first and second, which are installed in cylindrical borings in the cylinder head and kinematically connected through a chain with a crank-shaft. The first and second camshafts (14) and (15) are designed with axial channels and radial inlets and outlets the amount of which corresponds to amount of cylinders (1). Opposite to each piston in the cylinder head (8) at least one inlet and one outlet are provisioned, periodically interconnecting a working cavity of each cylinder (1) with the fuel-air mix inlet system (12) which is performed by the first camshaft (14) and the combustion product exhaust system (13), which is performed by the second camshaft (15). On the lateral section of the chain (31) the first chain tensioner (33) with manual tension adjustment is installed, on the chain section (31) between camshafts (14) and (15) the second chain tensioner (35) with the controlled drive (36) is installed. The driving and driven sprockets are designed with identical diameters.

EFFECT: simplification of design and improvement of reliability.
