FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines using fuel-air mixture as working medium. Proposed device has at least one main cylinder main piston reciprocating in cylinder, crankshaft, main cylinder head, at least one auxiliary cylinder arranged in head with at least one air intake port made on its surface and auxiliary piston reciprocating in cylinder to control intake port and driven by crankshaft through camshaft, combustion chamber formed by cylinders, pistons and head and provided with spark plug, auxiliary piston position control device made in form of fork-type rocking lever coupled through one end with auxiliary piston through connecting rod and engaging with cams on camshaft through roller at one side and directly with fork part of lever at other side, being moved by means of control shaft of support of other end of forked lever. It has also exhaust gas outlet member made in form of plate valves arranged in head and controlled by camshaft. Moreover, hole is made in head of main cylinder to accommodate fuel injection nozzle. Invention provides reduction of fuel consumption at different loads up to 30%, improved ecological characteristics of engine to meet requirements of European Standards and improved reliability of operation.
