TRACK BALLASTING MACHINE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2246569 C2

FIELD: railway transport: permanent way.

SUBSTANCE: proposed ballasting machine contains frame made for movement by running mechanisms and connected with cross belt conveyor with direction of transportation square to longitudinal direction of machine, and carrier for carrying and damping of ballast provided with unloading end. Cross belt conveyor is made for re-placing relative to unloading end of carrier in direction of transportation by means of cross shift drive. Re-placing device is provided to shift unloading end and cross belt conveyor relative to each other in longitudinal direction of machine with possibility of choosing of position in which ballast is dumped both directly on rail track and through cross belt conveyor on outer slope of ballast section.
