METHOD FOR PHALLOURETHROPLASTY Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, surgery.

SUBSTANCE: the method deals with forming Filatov's stalk out of cutaneous-fatty femoral fragment, its training, transplantation onto perineum to either desired bottom or the stump of patient's phallus followed by forming neourethra and mobilization of neophallus. Out of two cutaneous-fatty femoral fragments one should develop Filatov's stalks to be transplanted with their distal pedicles contrary in longitudinal direction towards desired bottom or the stump of patient's phallus. Then they should be longitudinally dissected along previous postoperational scar at the whole distance to be sutured along anterior-internal edge. Neourethra should be formed out of median scrotal stalk-like fragment at a supplying pedicle being the constituent of neourethra developed. Then one should develop stalk-like scrotal anastomosis due to alternate suturing inferior-posterior edges of phallostalks with corresponding edges of scrotal wound. The method enables to decrease the risk of neophallus' atrophy and its failed prosthetics and, also, improve its esthetic properties.
