FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, particularly foam generators to generate high-expansion foam used for extinguishing fires in oil-transfer stations and other rooms with the use of automatic fire-extinguishing systems.
SUBSTANCE: generator comprises hollow body made as straight cylinder with opened ends, nozzles for supplying aqueous foaming solution into body arranged at one end of the body and uniformly distributed across generator cross-section. Nozzle or nozzles located in central part of generator cross-section is put forward relative peripheral ones. Generator comprises outer, inner and additional nets each defining axially symmetrical truncated cone. Inner net is arranged in outer one. Base of outer net is connected to another body end, apex thereof faces object to be protected. Base of inner net is connected to truncated apex of outer net and truncated apex thereof faces body. Base of additional net is connected to truncated apex of inner net and truncated apex faces object to be protected. Cone angle of each net is equal to half of spray angle of jet exiting from nozzle. Ratio between summary area of effective net cells cross-sections and body cross-section area is 3.5 - 4.
