FIELD: metallurgy; extra-furnace treatment of steel and iron melts.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes forced introduction of working medium containing additives-reagents into melt at simultaneous rotation of this medium in horizontal plane for mixing melt and additives-reagents. Turbulent and laminar ascent and descent flows are formed in melt by vertical motion of working medium. Consumption of additives-reagents is proportioned. Working medium is made in form of ring with blades located along horizontal line of symmetry on inner and outer surfaces of this ring. Outer blades form descent flows of melt and inner blades form ascent flows. Working medium may be detachable; it may include aluminum and refining and/or alloying and/or modifying additives. Blades may be made in form of wedges.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of reagents; improved quality of melt.
