FIELD: metallurgy, possibly treatment of melts, for example of steel and cast iron melts at killing, refining, alloying and modifying them.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes set of reagents with reactive propeller in the form of container. Container with reagents is arranged in housing with end discs embracing container from upwards and from downwards and being heat shield for it. Lower disc is provided with guides transforming radial movement of reagents to helical one and working as swirler together with heat shield for forming ducts used for flowing out reagents in the form of impulse turbulent streams acting upon melt as reactive propeller. Guides of swirler are in the form of heat resistant plates passing through group of annular members from central portion to periphery. Guides of swirler may be built-up ones and they may be in the form of heat resistant outer members, for example in the form of two vertical plates mounted with gap or envelope and inner filler, for example magnesium. Apparatus may include set of reagents arranged on support step-by-step with possibility of additional supply, changing or removing any desired reagent.
EFFECT: effective universal design, enhanced quality of melt due to intensified agitation of it, improved uniformity of reagent distribution in melt.
