FIELD: valving.

SUBSTANCE: gate valve comprises housing with two seats made of bushings with sealing surfaces and valving member. The valving member has two plates. The plates are mounted in spider provided with two holders for plates. The sealing of the surfaces of the valving member and seats of the housing is provided with a special member. The plate which undergoes pressure drop of fluid is provided with a ring. The ring is positioned on the cylindrical collar made coaxially with respect to the spherical surface of the plate and has sealing surface from one face. The other face is in a contact with the plate through a ring projection. The projection is provided on the ring or pate. The mean diameter of the ring projection is equal to the diameter of the circumference which divides the sealing surface of the ring into two equal parts. The flexible sealing member is interposed between the ring and plate. The plate is provided with a device for axial pressing of the ring to the plate.

EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance and tightness.
