FIELD: mechanical-draft towers and chimney-type cooling towers for smooth distribution of water being cooled over sprinkling area.

SUBSTANCE: proposed water distributing unit has main and working pipe lines with sprayers, peripheral and central pipe lines are interconnected by means of working pipe lines; cooling water in adjacent pipe lines moves in opposite direction; peripheral and central pipe lines are connected to respective peripheral and central supply collectors which are connected in their turn with peripheral and central supply pipe lines by means of peripheral and central water supply risers; peripheral and central supply pipe lines are provided with peripheral and central gate valves used as regulating units and located between cooling tower and pump station; besides that, working pipe lines are connected to peripheral and central pipe lines at acute angle or by means of bent sections or by means of bell-mouth joints.

EFFECT: simplified control of flow rates and pressures of cooling water at automatic washing-out and carrying-out of sludge.
