FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: water distribution device for chimney-type cooling tower includes two identical flat sprinkling sections positioned side by side, each section is connected to a separate water pipeline by water feed risers, each riser is connected by its output to a middle part of its own horizontal water distribution pipeline, the latter are installed parallel to each other and connected to parallel water dispensing pipeline system where water sprinkling nozzles are mounted at regular spaces along water dispensing pipelines; flow diameter of water distribution pipelines is reduced stepwise onwards from the point of connection to water feed riser; water sprinkling sections are positioned symmetrical against vertical axis of the cooling tower, each section features one water feed riser, section risers are positioned in parallel to each other along the diameter of circle inscribed in cooling tower cross-section; parallel water drain pipelines are connected to water distribution pipelines to join them to water dispensing pipelines, water drain pipeline cross-section is reduced stepwise from water dispensing pipeline towards cooling tower wall, water drain pipelines are perpendicular to water distribution pipelines; ends of water drain pipelines in each section are interconnected by peripheral pipelines running along a circle inscribed in the cooling tower cross-section, while water sprinkling nozzles of adjoining water dispensing pipelines are arranged in checker order.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of water distribution between sprinkling sections and along cross-section of chimney-type cooling tower, improved efficiency of water cooling.
